Isaac is on his way to our daughters

Yesterday we finalized our decision for Isaac to go visit the girls in Addis. We bought the ticket around 4pm. Then Claire (have i mentioned how amazing this friend is??) and i went into hyper-drive to get everything accomplished in only a few hours that most people take weeks to plan for - an international flight to Africa.

We headed to Wal-mart to be able to get everything at once and that's where i I broke down and bought a digital camcorder. we've been wanting to do it for a couple of years now but couldn't justify the expense. Not like we can really handle the expense right now (although all of our needs are abundantly being met by the Father) but i just couldn't send my husband half way around the world to meet my daughters without it. Who could? I was starting to have buyer's regret and Claire came up with a commercial for MasterCard... " last minute flight to Africa because your newborn daughter is sick- $1600 , travel necessities - $150, digital camcorder - $400. Meeting your Ethiopian daughters for the first time - PRICELESS." We were both crying by the end of her made-up commercial!

The three of us were up packing and working details out until 2 am. We were finally able to confirm a place for Isaac to stay at 1am. This is a huge relief as we got him reservations at the guest house we've heard great things about! We were up and at the airport after only 3 hours of sleep.

We heard really great news about Aliyah today. She is so much improved, they said she slept through the night and she's drinking her bottle!! When i got the news this afternoon it was like all the colors around me became normal again. The heaviness lifted and my heart is full. I am overwhelmed with emotion and gratefulness to God who is causing all things to work together for good. Right before this whole adoption process started the LORD gave me an awesome verse that He has brought to my spirit again "Are there any gods like You? No! There are no gods like You! You are wonderfully holy. You are amazingly powerful. You do great miracles. "
