The Beginning Move

SO...Isaac's parents lived with us for almost 2 years. Our basement is the same size as the floor above it (where we were living) and it has it's own entrance. About a month ago they moved out and I have been itching to use the new space we have. We were able to finish the remodeling in the basement right before they moved in so we haven't ever used the space.

We've decided that we should move all our upstairs rooms down so that we can remodel our bedrooms before the girls come. Although we remodeled the main living area and kitchen before we moved in to this house, we never made it to remodeling the bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are fine except they have the ORIGINAL carpet (bright blue, bright red and shag brown, yikes!) from 1972 when the house was built. Right now we have all three boys in one room, the home school room and our bedroom upstairs. We moved the home school room downstairs today. We put it in one half of the basement living room which is HUGE. I really like it here for now. Now that the old home school room is empty we can begin the remodel: paint, (PINK!) new carpet and (hopefully) built-ins in the closet. That will be the girl's room.

In the next couple of weeks we plan on moving our bedroom and the boy's bedroom to the downstairs bedrooms. At that point we will paint and re-carpet the boy's room. We will also take out one of the closets in our master bedroom, (which will open our little room by about 5 feet) paint and re-carpet. In our walk-in closet we will get built-ins to help us with organization.

Hopefully in a few months the upstairs rooms will be ready. Judah and Eli will either stay downstairs in the bedroom or they will move back up with Samuel. I will begin getting the girl's room ready for them. I have found so many clothes for them it's pitiful. Seriously. I enjoy shopping for girls WAY too much! It might be dangerous! I figure if the size of clothes I've bought aren't going to fit them I can just donate them to the orphanage, right? I just can't stop myself from buying precious girl clothes when they are on clearance and cost hardly anything.

So the "nesting" has begun. We pray every day over our family and the girls. We have been praying Isaiah 62 every morning and evening over our family and our girls in Ethiopia. We don't know how old they are, if they are in the womb, but we know there is LIFE there so we are praying over them every day even as we pray for our family.
