This is a friend of Mary's who does assessments of preemies, adopted babies or any babies who might have a concern for development. Becky tested each of the girls and said that although they were about 5 weeks premature they tested for their age of 4 and a half months. She would give them the benefit of the doubt of being 5 weeks younger developmentally until they are 2 years old but for right now they are testing appropriately for their age. They showed no signs of being in institutionalized care or of developmental delays.

I'm happy to report the girls have grown so well! At their 4 month appointment today we found out that Aliyah is 11 lbs 2 oz and Ariel is 10 lbs 10 oz and they've both grown 4 INCHES since April! Aliyah is actually on the growth scale now although only 10%tile. Ariel didn't quite make it onto the growth scale with her weight but she will soon. We changed doctors bc/ of our concern over immunizations and our new doctor is fabulous. Praise God we had favor with her.

I also want to thank everyone who has been such an incredible help to our family since we've been home from Ethiopia - Claire, Jenny, Cindyl, Alissa, my dad and my MOM who have gone over and beyond to help us, all the people who brought us dinners, our church for all the gifts....i can't name everyone but we are SO thankful as a family see the way the Body has come around us with support...THANK YOU!
