Isaac and I celebrated 11 years of marriage on Saturday. Unfortunately we did it while cleaning up our children's puke, changing diarrhea diapers and being very sick ourselves (especially me!). We got hit with a horrible stomach flu Saturday morning. I've realized you've never had the stomach flu until you have 5 children! Thankfully Judah never did get it but the rest of us were pretty miserable and since Isaac was the healthiest, he took care of us all. At some point in the day we looked over at each other and said "happy anniversary baby". I've treasured every year we've had together. I can't think of a more transparent, honorable, strong, godly and loving husband and father than the man I was given. He is truly my miracle and our marriage gets better every year. There is obviously too much to put into words...especially here in this public bog! When i think of the journey we've just taken together in bringing home our precious girls, it's somewhat overwhelming. Isaac carried the Father's favor and authority when he went to rescue them and although he's always been my hero, during that time my respect for him grew even more. It was exactly one year ago that we went away for our 10 year anniversary and made the decision to pursue Ethiopian adoption with CWA. Wow, what a year we've had!

Beautiful moving words. ;-) Sorry you were so sick...Happy Anniversary! God bless all the years to come. Love to you all
I just have to say you all know that she has to say all those nice things becuase it's our anniversary. The truth is once I got over my insecurities we have become an amazing team. I don't know how I ever lived without her. When I went to Ethiopia it was the first time in about ten years that I had really been on my own with now wife and boys. Of course I had an incredible mission, but I also realized what I had at home. People are constantly talking negatively about marriage and having kids. The truth is I feel like my heart has doubled in size. I found happiness and joy. It's hard at times but I'm really happy. I will love you forever Molly!
You do have a catch. Molly, I so wish we could have met you in Ethiopia. We missed you by 8hrs. Actually when you were arriving we were boarding a plane. My husband and I enjoyed every breakfast and dinner with your husband talking all about how God had truly transformed each of our families, which brings great glory to Him. Happy Belated Anniversary!
