Went to the pediatrician today and Aliyah is 8lbs 2 oz!!! she’s gained over a pound in 2 weeks! Ariel is 7 lbs. 13 oz which means she’s gained even more than Aliyah! Thank God for fattening American formula, right? I asked the doc , “can’t we switch to regular formula now that they’re gaining weight so well?” The NeoSure is $16 a can and lasts 1.5 days around here!! And they’re only taking 2-3 oz every 2-2.5 hours! what happens when they take more!?! Yikes! He said no. he wants them on that until they at least hit the growth scale for their age. So….God will provide, I am confident, but WOW that stuff’s expensive. Obviously it works as it is chubbing up our precious daughters. They are doing SO WELL. They’re HAPPY and content. They coo and smile at us and try to sing. They’re batting at their toys and still look kinda shocked when their brothers come running at them for kisses (which happens quite often in a day).
It’s amazing to us that only a few short weeks ago Aliyah Konjit was under 6 pounds and sick and Ariel Tarikua was around 6 lbs and not gaining and here they are, thriving and doing so well. Love is even more important than food….
