After celebrating Elijah's bday at dinner, we moved into celebrating the girls' homecoming day. Isaac asked each boy to tell the way they felt 3 year ago when they saw their sisters for the first time. Judah, "I was in heaven." Samuel "my eyes were attached to their faces because they were so cute" Elijah "they were the best bday present ever and they were so beautiful"

2-15 After telling Samuel for the third time how old I am.... "mama, you do NOT look 35!!! That's OLD!!! I would say you were in your 20's at LEAST!". Love that child. Aliyah's new phrase, "that's just nasty".
2-12 The girls were talking and playing when they were supposed to be napping today. I walked in and half jokingly said "who needs a spanking?". Aliyah was quick to respond "Ariel!!". Never to young to blame shift I suppose!
2-2 "Du-da (Judah) u big monkey. Eisha (Elijah) u big monkey. Samu (Samuel) u my little monkey!" Ariel told her brothers when she woke up this morning. Not sure where she got that from. Ariel to Samuel when she walked into the room "hey what u doing, my little monkey?!?!"
1-27 As clear as can be Ariel just said to me, "I want MY Samuel to dance with me.". The boys are amazing brothers to their beautiful little sisters.

1-19 the girls' bday party this little girl (we didn't know) walked up to aliyah and said "Are you a princess??" and then she saw Ariel and said, "And you are a princess too!!" She did not leave their side until she had to leave. The girl obviously knows royalty when she sees it
1-7 Judah was "trying" to help me clean up Aliyah's vomit this morning when he said, "I don't know how i'm gonna be able to do this with my wife someday."
1-2 Nothing like cleaning up an entire broken bottle of COD LIVER OIL first thing upon waking. Thank God for hardwood floors at least. What a nasty mess.
12-28-10 The last few days of Samuel - "mama I love you more than anything else in this whole world- except for God. I love u even more than gold!" sweet lovey boy. Also- "I'm a very unusual boy mama because I'm the only boy in my class who knows how to get on YouTube." And "I was the world's most uncomfortable man last night! The boys took all my blankets and I had to use the couch pillows to keep me warm!
12-15-10 Apparently all the girls in Elijah's class want to touch his hair. He told me today he started charging - $.75 for every touch! One girl "owes" him over $2. hahaha. Yes, his mama does give him his haircuts and he is one good looking guy
12-12-10 playin Guitar Hero with my boys. Samuel informs me he no longer likes rock music or tight jeans, "they are for girls." ahh - that child's fashion changes all the time. there was a day not too long ago i could only buy him tight, skater jeans. lol
12-9 Was told by 2 girls in Elijah's class that I looked like i was 19! I asked if that was a compliment and they both vigorously shook their heads yes! Wanted to make sure they weren't teasing this old 35 year old

11-15 I Walked upstairs from the office this morning and 2 year old Ariel said "Hey mom! How are ya? Good?". Cutie tootie

9-16 up early to get Judah off to Colorado with Isaac, work work work for Shiloh, run 3 miles, work more for Shiloh, work all night waiting on the rich and famous at the Flying Frog, comfort food at SunnyPoint, home in time to tuck my youngest, beautiful boys into bed with me.....goodnight
9-14 "you are my miracle mom!" - samuel.The whole story of this is so cute. He was watching Pixars Joseph Coat of Dreams and there is the song Jacob sings to Joseph that say "you r my miracle child". That night samuel came to me and said "you know that song 'you r a miracle child?' well, you are like that but you are my miracle mom!" tonight he said to me, "you are so pretty miracle mom!"

8-7 "the girls are growing so fast. I am going to cry my eyes out when they go to kindergarten." Judah. Nina said I agree with that. I'm always amazed at how good they are all the time to them. Most kids love ya one minute not the next, but they consistently are patient and kind and show genuine love to them. And they're 2!!

3-27 Samuel just asked his daddy if he thought he would be a midget when he grew up. I think he's feeling the fact that he is a little small for his age
